My Last Day!

Today is my last day at All Hallow's. You have all been so much fun to spend time with and I have had lots of good things to say to Santa about you. I hope I get to come back to your classroom next year. I am really looking forward to the Sing-a-long today. My favorite Christmas Carol is Jingle Bells. What is yours? Tonight I will return to the North Pole to help Santa wrap presents and pack the sleigh. I hope you have a great Christmas holiday and that Santa has a special treat in his bag just for you. I decided to land in the same place as my first day with you. Can you guess where I am?

My Favorite Day

Today was my favorite day at All Hallows Elementary! I loved seeing you all in the gym for your holiday meal. It was so nice to have everyone eat their turkey dinner together, sing Christmas carols and visit with Santa. I was excited to see Santa at the school again and I really like those smelly pencils. What did Mrs. Russell call them? Smencils I think! You are very lucky to have so many great volunteers prepare a meal for so many children. It is soon time for me to return to the North Pole for good but I have a few more places to land and watch. Where do you think I am now? Love, Jingle Sparkles

Gobble, Gobble!

YUMMY!!! The school smells so good! There are a lot of turkeys being cooked for your dinner. That turkey smell made me hungry so when I went to the North Pole I went to the Jungle Bell Café for a ginger bread cookie! When I went to see Santa he said he was very excited to come for the Polar Express today. He thought you did a wonderful job! Can you guess where I am today? Love, Jingle Sparkles

Toot Toot!

I am so excited about seeing your Special Friends and watching the Polar Express. The Polar Express is one of my favorite Christmas books. I can certainly hear the bell ring. Can you? I am having lots of fun today! Can you guess where I am? Love, Jingle Sparkles

What a Flight!

Wow! What a trip to the North Pole I just had! That was one of the stormiest nights I have ever had to fly. Santa had to ask Rudolph to stand outside his Toy Shop so that we could find our way there! I helped Santa for most of the night and then I blew all the back to All Hallows. Now it is time for me to have a little rest. If you have an elf at home can you tell me where they are this morning. I am looking for new places to land. Do you know where I am now? Love, Jingle Sparkles

Boring!

Hi Kindergartens! It was boring in the school without you today. I played with the blocks, read some books and looked in Mrs. Russell's cupboards to see if she had any snacks. I went to the North Pole but had nothing to report to Santa so he put me to work wrapping presents. You would not believe how many presents we have to wrap. Can you keep a secret? I think I saw some of your names on the boxes! You must have been very good. Where do you think I am now? Love, Jingle Sparkles

Very Quiet

Hi Kindergartens! It is very quiet in the school right now! It is a little boring and I am wishing that you were all here. The Kinderstarts were very good on Friday. They made beautiful Christmas wreaths and they all told me what they would like for Christmas. I had a lot to remember when I flew to the North Pole but I think that I remembered it all. Santa thinks the Kinderstarts will be very happy on Christmas morning. I just returned to the classroom and am trying to find a perfect place. Where do you think I landed this time?

Having Fun!

Hello Kindergartens! I hope you are having a fun day at home. I will keep a good eye on the Kinderstarts and let Santa know how they are doing. I would say they are very excited to be using your classroom today! When I got to the North Pole last night Santa asked me how all of you were behaving. I told him that you did a great job drawing and painting your strings of lights and that the Polar Express is looking very good. I asked Santa if he could get me a pair of pjs for Tuesday but he didn't know if he would have time. I will keep my fingers crossed. Santa said to remember to be good listeners and to make sure to follow the rules at school. Check out the blog on the weekend to see where I am! I plan on having lots of fun in here! Do you know where I am sitting right now?

I'm Watching You!

Hello Kindergartens! I had a lot of fun in your classroom today. I loved watching you practice for the Polar Express. I think that your Special Friends are really going to like your presentation. I would love to ride to the North Pole on a train full of children, drinking hot chocolate and eating candy. I always have to fly there and it can be very cold! I just got back from seeing Santa and I told him that some of you were being very good. I noticed that some of you were having difficulty being good listeners but Santa said not to tell him any names until I watched for a few more days. I hope that you all work hard to listen and do your work. I am in a new place now and the classroom looks pretty neat from here. Can you guess where I am? Love, Jingle Sparkles

Where Am I?

Hello Kindergartens! What a day we had in Kindergarten! Some of you got to stay extra long and some of you never got to come at all! I told Santa how good the Green Group was and how patient they were waiting for their families to come and get them. You get snow here in North River like we do in the North Pole! I hope you all had a chance to go outside and play. My favorite thing to do at the North Pole is to have sledding races down Candy Cane Hill with my elf friends. I have landed in a new spot in your classroom. Where do you think I am? Love, Jingle Sparkles

Jingle Sparkles

Hello Kindergartens! My name is Jingle Sparkles and I am a classroom Scout Elf. I arrived in your classroom just after the Christmas Concert ended tonight. I am in your classroom to watch over you and make sure that you are following all the rules at school. Then I will report back to Santa each night and let him know how each of you are doing. Each day before you come to school check the blog and I will post a picture of where I am so that you can try to figure out where I am hiding. Once you look at my picture make a comment letting everyone know where you think I am! When you get to school we will see if you were right! Here is my first picture. Can you guess where I am? Love, Jingle Sparkles

Our Tree in Fall

Last week we went out to visit our tree. We saw that the leaves had changed color. We also noticed that many of the leaves are falling off. When we went outside we had to wear warmer clothes because the temperature is getting cooler. We wore jackets and pants and sneakers. We love our tree in the fall! If you would like, write a post telling us what your favorite thing to do in fall is.

Remembrance Day

Yesterday we all took time to think about how thankful we are that we live in a safe, peaceful country. Here are some things we have done this week to show that we remember!

Making Letters!

We are using all sorts of materials around the classroom to make letters. Use something at home to make a letter, take a picture and e-mail it to Mrs. Russell. Then, write a post telling what letter you made and what you used to make it. After a few weeks Mrs. Russell will make a slideshow of all the neat ways we are practicing making our letters at home and we can post it on the blog. Daniel and Luke used straws and connectors to make the letter T.

Our Shoeboxes

This week we took home our special shoeboxes. Our shoeboxes are a place for all the little books that we will be using to "Read the Words". Please help me to find a special place to keep my shoebox so that I can read to someone everynight!

Special Stuffie Day

We had a great time with our stuffed animals at school. If you would like, write a post telling what your stuffie liked best about coming to school.

Our Tree In The Summer

We made our first visit to our classroom tree in mid September. We will visit our tree in every season to talk about how it grows and changes. What do you notice about how our tree looks in the summer?

Seasons

We are learning about the seasons and found this awesome song to teach us about the weather in spring, summer, fall and winter.
